Attention, die-hard die-cast collectors: Lionel Racing’s new mass retail product line, NASCAR Authentics, is now available. And in more places than ever. Lionel Racing, the “Official Diecast” of NASCAR, is one of the biggest names in the collecting community and they make diecast cars in all shapes, sizes and models.
Collecting diecast cars is one of the biggest hobbies for NASCAR fans. Maybe you saw your favorite driver pick up a win at your hometown track or maybe they could’ve been racing in a shiny new paint scheme that will only be used a few times. Whatever the circumstances are, NASCAR fans use diecast cars to remember certain races or events and they help to express their favorite moments as a fan.
A few examples of what you can expect to see in stores are raced wins, like Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s confetti-covered ride from Talladega in 2015, or memorable rides like Jeff Gordon’s rainbow scheme for Bristol or his final silver scheme for Homestead, both 2015 cars.
Target, Walmart and Toys “R” Us carry the NASCAR Authentics line, with Lionel and NASCAR teaming up in a mass retail capacity. That means 1:64-scale die-cast cars and other vehicles, such as haulers, are currently available. More are planned for later in the year.
Additional Lionel products can be found at the NASCAR Superstore and Trackside Superstore.
